Beautiful Soft Skin
Your skin is delicate and should always look its best.
Your Face is Delicate
The skin on your face is very delicate. It is sensitive to the elements that you expose it to everyday. On a bright day, it gets baked under the sun. During a frigid winter, it dries from the cold wind. When you sleep, it gets pressed up against your pillow and sheets. Some of our faces get plastered with pore-clogging make-up and others get scraped clean with a razor.
We put our faces through a lot over time and it is not always forgiving. Over time we begin to see small wrinkles that turn into deep creases. Our springy soft skin turns rough and saggy. The small, tight pores get bigger and more visible. Our face starts to show our age.
You need to remember that your face isn’t always as tough as you want it to be. If you had or have acne, do you have any scars? Avoid them. Resist popping and squeezing pimples for instant relieve. You could be risking scars that you will have to live with for the rest of your life.
Do you wear make-up everyday without fail? If you do, make sure you wash it ALL off every night before you go to bed. By leaving it on longer than necessary, you risk clogging your pores and causing acne.
If you are a guy, do you shave every morning causing irritation to your skin? Make sure you keep your skin moisturized on a regular basis and soothe it every morning. Be very careful to avoid cuts and scars.
Wear sunscreen everyday. You might think you only have to wear it when you are at the beach or in the sun for long periods of time. Even if you are only in the sun for 20 minutes while driving, you can cause damage. And don’t think you are safe on a cloudy day. The UV rays can still come through the clouds.
Don’t smoke. It’s horrible for your insides and your outsides. Besides the sun, there is nothing that can damage your skin more than smoking. It can make you look much older and turn your skin yellow!
Be careful in the winter if you live in a very cold climate. Especially when it’s windy out, wear a scarf to cover your face to protect it from the wind. Moisturize your skin often in the winter because it can dry out easily. If your home is dry from heaters and wood stoves, use a humidifier so you don’t dry out your skin further.
Take care of your skin and take care of your face. You only get one and it has to last you for as long as you live!
