Beautiful Soft Skin
Your skin is delicate and should always look its best.
Season, Weather, and Regional Climate
There are so many factors that can impact the look and feel of your skin. As much as you want to have the most beautiful and softest imaginable, it might be very difficult for where you live. Follow these tips to get the best skin no matter where you live.
Harsh cold winters
If you live in a region with harsh cold winters, you probably have a hard time with your skin. With the cold comes very dry air. Dry air can dry out your skin, especially if you already have dry skin to begin with.
If you only have harsh cold winters for a couple months of year, you are in luck because that’s the only time you have to deal with it. If you live where it’s cold all the time, it can be a little more of a problem. Still, this is the perfect time to come up with the perfect solution that works for you. Experiment with different products and routines until you find what works without fail.
If you don’t have any problems with acne or oily skin, you should be able to use heavier lotions and creams. Make sure to use a day lotion with SPF 15 at least. Even if it’s the winter and cloudy, you can still get sun damage.
Moisturize as often as necessary. The only way to get rid of dry flaky skin is to moisturize. Look through the Skinstore.com for some great moisturizing lotions and creams.
Hot and Humid
If you live a region that is hot and humid, you have to opposite problem as those in the cold. There is too much moisture and you might sweat a lot and have oily skin.
If you have dry skin and live in a hot and humid climate, use a light moisturizer. If you have oily skin, you will still need a lotion with SPF 15 or higher during the day, but you will need a lighter oil-free lotion. In the evening, use a light cream or bypass the moisturizer altogether if that’s what works for you. I advise you to use some time of moisturizer if possible to keep your skin supple.
Also in the hot humid areas, you might find that you sweat a lot. This can cause a lot of dirt, oil, and build up in your pores. Try using a scrub to clear away dirt, oil, sweat, and bacteria to keep away blemishes.
Sun-laden
No matter wear you live, you will need an SPF day lotion of 15 or higher even if the sun isn’t shining. The UV rays can still come through the clouds. But if you live wear it’s sunny all the time and you are always outside, you will need to be extra careful.
Wear a strong sunscreen that protects against UVA and UVB rays and reapply often throughout the day. The sun can age you years before necessary. Don’t let it happen to you!
A little bit of everything
Many of us live in regions where we get a little bit of everything. It is the typical 4 seasons climate: cold winters, lovely springs, hot summers, and fair falls. To deal with the changing weather, you need to understand that you will probably have to change your routine with the weather.
The winter weather requires more moisture and during the summer, you may need to add a facial scrub to clean away the excess sweat, dirt, and oil.
Similarly, as you age, you will need to change your routine. Keep in mind that the routine that works for one person may not work for you, or the routine that worked in the winter or 10 years ago, may not work for you now. Accommodate the weather and the time in your life to meet your skincare needs.
