Beautiful Soft Skin
Your skin is delicate and should always look its best.
Importance of Sun Protection
If you think you are very healthy and your don’t smoke, that is great. You are saving your skin from a lot of harmful effects, but if you aren’t protecting it from the sun, you are still in line for premature aging.
When you spend too much time in the sun, you have continuous UVA and UVB rays beating down on you. Even just 20 minutes in the hottest, strongest sun rays can do damage to your skin.
You need to get 5 to 15 minutes of sun exposure per day to get the necessary vitamin D, but that’s it. Other than that, you need sun protection.
Wear a day lotion with an SPF of at least 15 everyday. Make sure you cover your entire face with the lotion. Don’t skip the eyes, this is where you could age the most. Get your cheeks, chin, nose, forehead, around your eyes, and your neck. Your neck is another place that can really show your age.
When you are outside for prolonged periods of time, make sure you don’t forget to put sunscreen on your face and continuously reapply. Wear a hat for extra protection.
The effects of the sun can harm you even if you can’t see it right away. If you spend hours in the sun without sunscreen or use tanning beds often, you are adding years to your skin underneath that might not show when you are 20, but just wait a few years. It will hit you like a ton of bricks!
Also, you might see a sunburn as an immediate effect, but that’s it. Wrong. A sunburn causes a red rash immediately, but it also means even more damage for the future.
If you are young, you are at the perfect time to prevent premature aging. If you are older, don’t think it’s too late. Maybe you have many sunny day regrets, but starting now will prevent many more in the future. The best you can do now is prevent further damage and moisturize!
Protect your skin now and see the benefits in the future!
